The new Perya Dormitory Complex in the Village of the upcoming Winter Universiade 2019 was tested by 600 volunteers who checked the readiness extend of the venue to welcome the guests of the Games.

The volunteers spent 24 hours in Perya Dormitory Complex. After passing the accreditation and getting uniforms, the volunteers were moved into apartment-type rooms equipped with everything required: beds, spacious cupboards, desks, kitchen furniture and toilets. A dinner and a breakfast were prepared at the regional food factory which will serve athletes at the 29th Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019. At all the stages of the testing the volunteers were assisted by the staff of the Organising Committee (OC), thus practicing their actions in the upcoming Games.

Simultaneous accommodation in the Dormitory Complex of several hundred people allowed testing all the systems under the high load. “We checked all the services available in the place of residence of volunteers with their own help," said Deputy Director General of the Winter Universiade 2019 Konstantin Gureev. "Already during the test we got the feedback and realised what is necessary to finalize. It is a very useful experience. As the result, we strive to ensure that all the participants of the Winter Universiade 2019, athletes, coaches, judges, journalists, volunteers and guests, feel comfortable during the Games. That is the purpose of the Organizing Committee."

Upon the conclusion of the Universiade venue tests, the volunteers were satisfied with the work of the OC and noted the modern furnishing, the quality of food, the efficiency of Perya staff. "The conditions in the Dormitory Complex are good, the rooms are new. I liked that there are lifts in the high building. Everything was organized at the top level,” said a student Egor Kiselev, a volunteer of the Winter Universiade 2019 from Abakan. In her turn Ekaterina Katnikova from Krasnoyarsk shared her opinion that the conditions in Perya are identical to those at the recent 2018 FIFA World Cup where she worked as a volunteer.

Let us remind that already in August Perya Dormitory Complex will accommodate the participants the FISU Forum, the third test event of the Winter Universiade 2019. 200 people from 40 countries will come to the educational conference in Krasnoyarsk. The Forum is an opportunity to work out the regular and emergency situations that could happen during the Games.
